Our wedding last Saturday was really fun, but we went a bit overtime, and so I was not able to give our detailed thank you speech! Here is our thank you message to everyone who helped in our SPECTACULAR!SPECTACULAR! wedding. 😀 I hope I didn’t miss out on anyone, and if I did, please forgive my lapse in memory. Also, please bear with the haphazard and overly excited writing style. We are truly overwhelmed by all the help and love we have received from all of you! 😀
Thank you so so much to:
God for the good weather, for seeing us through, for bringing us closer together and strengthening our relationship as we prepared for the wedding.
Our parents for their loving support. Thank you Papa Joey and Tita Josie for making it possible for us to get our dream videographer and for providing beer and wine for tonight. Thank you Mama Maeyet for taking care of the budget for our honeymoon. Thank you Papa Rudy for assisting us with moving in to our new place and for helping us secure our wedding documents, and thank you Mama Julie for helping with the pamamanhikan and for all the advice and support. (Edit: I hope you both don’t mind if I call you Popsie and Momsie now. 😀 )
Thank you Mama Lola, our ninang in heaven, for being here in spirit, and continuing to guide us and protect us.
Our ninangs and ninongs for all their wise words and help. 🙂 In particular, thank you Ninong Ted for all the gigs that helped us save up and gave us the opportunity to make music together. Thank you Ninang Agnes for giving us time off to de-stress in Punta Fuego, for sponsoring our lovely invitations, and for providing my beautiful earrings, which were my “something borrowed.” Thank you Ninong Garrie for the wise words over beer, Ninong Kiko and Ninang Nina for the many movie nights, double dates, and advice on so many things under the sun, Ninong Bong and Ninong Greg for all your invaluable advice and support, Ninang Menchit for the Holy Week vacation, dinners, and enlightening stories on managing our household, Ninang Maric for the great advice on career and family, Ninang Janet for helping with the food tasting, for your wise words, and for your promised mini honeymoon treat, and Ninang Gina for spending time with us, caring for us, and sharing your wisdom. To all our ninongs and ninangs, we look forward to your presence and guidance as we begin to build our family. Special thanks to Sr. Placid, Dean of Music of St. Scholastica’s College and one of the founders of PREDIS, which is the reason we crossed paths. Without her, perhaps we would all not be here celebrating tonight.
Our siblings. Thank you Melay for your advice on weddings, for temporarily housing our gifts, and for helping with the growing up AVP and bachelorette party. Thank you Jica for the many many things you did—for being our prenup stylist, for designing our invitations, for designing my gorgeous shoes, for being my shopping consultant, for helping with the bachelorette party, for dealing with incompetent suppliers on my behalf, for compiling dinner music, for making bridal car banners, for helping with so many little details of the wedding preps. And also thank you to Alex who helped her. (Edit: Thank you Dic for driving Jill for us!) Thank you Ate Janice for my beautiful gown and veil, for the dresses of most of the entourage, and for the church accessories. Thank you Kuya Ryan, Ate Airene, and Tita Elsa for all your wedding advice and for helping us with our marriage license.
The rest of our family for all your support. Thank you Kuya Denis and Ate Myca for sponsoring our flower girl’s dress. Thank you Bella for being such a perfectly sweet and pretty flower girl. Thank you Shibby for being the coolest junior bridesmaid. Thank you to the Guanzons, in particular our entourage members Tita Didi, Carla, and Carlos and our prayer leader, Tita Teresa. Thank you especially Tita Teresa and Tito Leslie who flew here from Singapore to attend the wedding. Thank you to the Lapeñas, particularly to our entourage members Kitt, Li-an, and Mei-mei, and thank you especially to Li-an for the wonderful cake and cupcakes and for providing some of the dinner music. Thank you to the Rapadas and Concepcion families for making time to be here tonight and celebrate with us. Thank you especially to entourage members Kuya Ryan, Kuya Paolo, Tita Linda, Kuya Anjo, and Ate Airene. Thank you for all your love and support.
Our friends. Thank you to my MOH, bridesmaids and co. for helping us out by paying for their dresses, for doing most of the DIY stuff for this wedding, for throwing me an awesome bachelorette party, and for all the love and support. Thank you so much Nikki, Joan, Michelle, Nanie, Antonette, Angeli, Kylie, Nini, Jamie, Crisette, and Joni for all your help. Thank you James for choreographing our first dance and for our DIY faces. Thank you to the groomsmen for showing up in time for the ceremony (haha) and for making our wedding so memorable with your presence. Thank you Kuya Ryan, Vic, Paco, Kuya Chino, Kuya Anjo, and James.
Thank you to Carlo for our growing up AVP and for playing for our wedding. Thank you Sir Olivier Ochanine for patiently updating us on possible schedule conflicts with PPO. Thank you Sir and Ate Twinkle for attending our wedding. Thank you to our dear musicians who performed in the ceremony and reception—Carlo, Christian, Katie, Leigh, Sir Joy, Kuya Chino, Ninong Ted, Kuya Gerry, Ems, Mama Nina, Hans, and Ricci (who gave me a beautiful and heartfelt serenade at the very end of the reception!).
Thank you June, RJ, and Joevelle for helping with our save-the-date shoot. Thank you to the Inacays for lending us the typewriter we used for our invitations. Thank you Banjo for all the wedding advice! Thank you Leigh for being the best ring and coin bearer I could ask for; thank you Leigh for supporting us no matter what. Thank you Katie for being our personal assistant/offeror/spokesperson/random dinner date. Thank you for helping us deal with all the wedding stress.
Thank you to everyone here tonight, to our families and friends and to the friends of our parents. We are so honoured to be surrounded by all of you. Thank you for all your support and love. Thank you also to those who could not make it but sent us their well wishes.
Thank you to all our dedicated suppliers and friends—to Mr. Ariel Yonzon and CCP for our prenup shoot, to Father Degs and St. John Bosco Parish, to Mrs. Velasco for our Forbes Park Pavilion reservation, to Abby, Cece, Arbee and Cha of Kiss the Girl, thank you for superb coordination and hosting, to Jake Olaso, for the AWESOME video, to Ruffa and Mike, for the swoon-worthy pictures, to Nina and K by Cunanan for the sumptuous dinner and elegant styling, to Dylan of Vatel Manila and Serge Igonia for the pretty pretty flowers, to Ana Isip and Dave for my wonderful HMU (Happy birthday Ana! So many people complimented me on my makeup!) and Mhec Gado for entourage HMU, to Elmer and Rejectkrew for the expertly executed lights and sounds, to Metro Tech for the projector, to CLIP photobooth, to Sir Kiko Candelaria for our beautiful engagement and wedding rings, to Mariel of Picasso Boutique Hotel for the excellent accommodations, and to Ninong Ted and the Manila String Machine, the most awesome wedding string quartet in the Philippines!!!! Hehehe! Our wedding music was made so beautiful by the wonderful string quartet arrangements and sound system of MSM! Thank you so much Ted, MSM, and our dear musician friends who played for us and with us. 😀
My super sweet, patient, and loving hubby!!! (Yes I know this is our joint thank-you, but I’m sure you are all aware that I’m the one who wrote all of this, so I’m putting in Casey. Hehe). I really cannot stress enough how lucky I am to have him as my husband. Many brides get really stressed out with wedding preps, because the grooms do not get involved in the nitty gritty. But not my hubby!!! He was there from start to finish of the preps. I hope that truly, come what may, he will love me, as I will love him. Hihihi!!!! ❤
